On Tuesday, Sam turned 3. Yes, that is right, he turned 3.

For weeks, we've been asking Sam what he wants on his cake. His answer without fail..."candles...free of them" If you ask him what else he wants on it, his answer is "hmmm....fire!" So we took him at his word. here is his not-so-fancy cake.

Feeling guilty that I hadn't made (OK, let's be honest, ordered) a fancy cake. I felt compelled to do something special for the meal. I came up with these little guys. Sam loves the minions from Dispicable Me so I thought they would be a hit. I was right.
